Humanhood è una compagnia di danza fondata da Julia Robert e Rudi Cole nel 2016, che ha rapidamente preso piede nel mondo della danza di tutto il mondo. 

Il lavoro di HUMANHOOD combina lo stile coreografico di Julia e Rudi, la fisicità, la ricerca scientifica in fisica e astrofisica, oltre a un focus sulla mistica orientale; creano così intricati motivi coreografici che si fondono in diverse forme energetiche con fluidità e dinamismo.

Queste esplorazioni hanno portato gli artisti a lavorare con una vasta gamma di artisti multidisciplinari, praticanti spirituali, sciamani e tribù indigene, per mettere in scena produzioni con un alto livello di complessità artistica e risonanza spirituale, che trasportano il pubblico in un luogo oltre i sensi. 

Interessati al cosmo e la natura, collaborano anche con scienziati, tra cui il fisico William Chaplin, leader della missione Kepler della NASA sullo studio delle stelle, creando così un dialogo tra coreografia e ricerca scientifica.

Rudi e Julia hanno questo speciale mix di integrità artistica, uno stile inconfondibile sposato con una visione davvero avvincente e un ethos laborioso; chiaramente si basano sull’eredità dei loro predecessori Akram Khan, Sidi Larbi Cherkahoui e Hofesh Shechter. 

Ciascuna delle loro produzioni, dove luce, suono e movimento sono interconnessi, crea un mondo distintivo che ha una natura unica, i suoi ritmi e il suo silenzio. Tra le produzioni più importanti nominiamo “Zero”, “Torus”, “Orbis”, “Sphera” e “∞{Infinite}”.

Realizzeremo un reportage del workshop, che rimarrà pubblico sul nostro canale YouTube e sui nostri canali social, in modo che i danzatori scelti per la partecipazione, possano inserirlo nel proprio curriculum con video reference!

Humanhood is a dance company founded by Julia Robert and Rudi Cole in 2016, which quickly took hold in the dance world. 

The work of Humanhood combines the choreographic style of Julia and Rudi, physicality, scientific research in physics and astrophysics, as well as a focus on eastern mysticism; they create so intricate choreographic motifs that blend into different energy forms with fluidity and dynamism.

These explorations have led artists to work with a wide range of multidisciplinary people, spiritual practitioners, shamans and indigenous tribes, to stage productions with a high level of artistic complexity and spiritual resonance, that transport the public to a place beyond the senses. 

Interested in the cosmos and nature, they also collaborate with scientists, including physicist William Chaplin, leader of NASA’s Kepler mission to study stars, thus creating a dialogue between choreography and scientific research.

Rudi and Julia have this special mix of artistic integrity, an unmistakable style married to a truly compelling vision and a hardworking ethos; they clearly rely on the legacy of their predecessors Akram Khan, Sidi Larbi Cherkahoui and Hofesh Shechter. 

Each of their productions, where light, sound and movement are interconnected, creates a distinctive world that has a unique nature, its rhythms and its silence. Among the most important productions we name “Zero”, “Torus”, “Orbis”, “Sphera” and ” ∞{Infinite}”.

We will make a report of the workshop, which will remain public on our YouTube channel and on our social channels, so that the dancers chosen for the participation, can insert it in their curriculum with video reference!
